Why Rainbow Is Awesome

Rainbow and I have been friends for about five years. She is one of the nicest people I know. Here is some proof:

Dh and I and Rainbow and her husband are planning to double date this Friday. We were going to go to one of the few good restaurants in our town - the only place I've had quality Italian food since moving here. However, while talking on the phone this morning, I admitted that I have reached that magical phase of pregnancy - luckily the very end - where I am uncomfortable in every position - walking, standing, sitting, lying down - it doesn't matter, it all hurts. She asked if I would rather not go out, that they could just come over to our house. "Yeah, but then I'd have to make dinner," I whined.

"No, you won't. We'll bring dinner," she answered. I said that sounded wonderful. Also this way I don't have to go pick up and then drop off a babysitter, which I hate doing.

"In fact," she continued, "why don't you let me come over to your house next week and clean it. If you have the baby this weekend, I'll get Dh to let me in, and I'll clean your house while you are in the hospital."

I was rendered speechless. Finally I squeaked out, "Rainbow, you are awesome."

"I know," she responded in a happy voice.

When you're awesome, you should just admit it.

Also, thank you for saying my baby bump is tiny. I feel enormous!! Do you think you will have your baby this weekend?

Obviously I need to make a friend like rainbow. No one has ever offered to clean my house.

She sounds so awesome!! I'll pay her air fare to Ohio, if she'll come and clean my house while I'm at the hospital giving birth.

Love those so thoughtful friends. So very few of us are blessed with someone so special.
The website I used for my new template is pyzam.com. They have TONS. I loved it!

People are so nice/awesome about the whole pregnancy thing. My friends from church insisted on bringing us dinners for two weeks. At first I was embarassed because its not like I'm dead, I can make dinner, or at least order a pizza. Two weeks is a long time but it has been great not to have to deal with cooking. I heart awesome people.

I totally agree with you about Rainbow's awesomeness. I can really see her saying that. So funny! And so cool of her. She is one of the sweetest, coolest people I know. She probably has no clue I think that . . . but I do!

What a sweetie. And I don't think I told you but I was most impressed by her fabulous smile. Girl friends are gold!

Wonderful friend! Lucky you! And Lucky her because to have a friend like that you must be equally awesome.

I only get to see my friend K every two years. One of the many things we have in common is absolute hatred for doing dishes! Of course neither of us have dishwashers because then we'd have nothing to complain about.

When I went to San Fran to visit - she picked me up from the airport - chauferred me to her house which was so cute and tidy except for some dishes in the sink. When she went to shower, I scrubbed up the dishes. When she came out she said, "What did you do? you are not allowed to do dishes in my house!!!" Then she gave me a big hug! Funny because being the thing we each hate most... we know it's the nicest favor you can do! AND - when you are doing it for a friend, it doesn't suck as much as doing your own!!
