I tried to think of some clever way to announce it. Obviously came up empty.
So it's a boy! I'm kind of scared, you know, it's the Other (let's get all anthropological here), but mostly EXCITED! To have a baby! And not have to keep calling him "it"!!!! Now comes the choosing of a name (which might be hard), and the shopping, and the curling up in bed talking to my little boy! When I told Dh I was nervous about having a boy, he reminded me that while a boy is not a girl (stick with me), we often hear about the special relationship a mother has with her son. I'm hoping for that, especially since despite still calling Dh "mama," Baby E is shaping up into quite the Daddy's girl.
It was so obvious during the ultrasound. I could tell right away - when the tech was still just taking pictures of the legs. Thinking, "Um, that looks a lot like a baby unit...not gonna say anything because I hate being wrong..." but sure enough thirty minutes later when the tech was ready for the gender reveal, there was that baby unit! The baby was soooo active. It was really funky to feel the baby kicking around and see it on a screen at the same time. He was measuring spot on for my due date of April 18. Almost half done!!!!!!!! So excited to meet you, little one!!

You will never be loved so much as you are by your son.
Congratulations! To all of you!
Oh, how fun!! Everyone seems to be having one of each lately. You will love your little guy, boys are lots of fun!
YAY! Congratulations!
Congratulations! I always say I don't want boys and my sister always says my mind will change as soon as I have one ... she and her boys have a very special bond.
How exciting! I always say that I want another girl, but I like Dh's point of view. My brothers are all very solicitous and protective of my mom.
Congrats!
Woohoo! It's like we are all having boys! ( Who is we all?? MK from shootinthepoop if you read that one, and Beth from Sothefishsaid) and Im betting Hannah from Teatopia will have a boy.
We're in this together!!! lol.
That is SO great! Congrats my friend!
I can't believe you are nervous to have a boy after I have told you all the terrible experiences I've had raising my boy and he is pretty mild compared to some. Ha ha just kidding. My boy is the most loving and always gives me compliments on how I look. Can't trade that for anything.
Boys are wonderful, and yes, my opinion is biased so maybe you shouldn't listen to what I say.
Congrats! You should post a belly pic. It's only fair, right?
i love my girls to death but there really is something special about having a son. :) congrats!
My DH got a good laugh over the word "unit."
Congratulations! The only problem with having a little boy is diaper changes. There is so much stuff to wipe down there. Porgie spoiled me.
Congrats!!
Hooray for little boys. While there aren't as many clothing choices for them..they are still super fun!
Congratulation! This is wonderful news!
I was absolutely TERRIFIED of having a boy after my daughter...what do I do with the thingie....amongst other big concerns. But I can tell you that it is amazing and that special bond? So true. He is my snuggle bug in a way C never was. He's almost 2 and absolutely wonderful!
